“I have been collaborating with Hungarian Film Director Balazs Hatvani since 2018 on several film projects, and last year wrote two songs for his film "Captain Flame", a comedy set in a fictional European city in the 1980's about a superhero "with issues".  In June of last year, Polly and I went to Budapest where we did two music videos for the songs. They were filmed on location in Budapest and at Cinelabyrinth Studios.”

We are delighted to announce that we will once again be collaborating with the amazing ROCKTOPIA team and producer Bill Franzblau for a special Christmas edition of the show. Following the previous highly successful PBS and Broadway shows, ROCKTOPIA CAROL - inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - will tell the story in a completely new, magical way, featuring brand-new music and a reinterpretation by multi Tony Award winner & New York Times best-selling author Rupert Holmes.

The premiere of the 90 minutes long documentary film 'Cirkusztestvérek' (Circussiblings) has taken place, directed by Glória Halász, with whom we have collaborated on numerous projects. In the film, Balazs Hatvani, one of the founders of Cinelabyrinth, served as the cinematographer. The film was produced by FP Films, with Péter Fülöp as the producer. Over the nearly 3-year filming period, they captured more than 50 days of the lives of young artist children, from the impact of the pandemic to their time spent as students in Kiev. Congratulations to all the cast and crew, as well as to the international and Hungarian circus community.

Cinelabyrinth's upcoming feature film, “Made In The Eighties”, taking viewers back to the world of the 80s, has reached the picture-locked stage after extensive post-production work. The fantastic Gábor Kerekes is currently working on the sound mixing. We hope that many will enjoy this independent English production in early next year, featuring wonderful actors such as Ashley Luke Lloyd (who is also the producer and co-writer of the film), Sarah Watson, Sue Devenay, and Chris Howell.

The official campaign film for GENESIS DIGITAL CLAPPER, which is also a successful fictional short film, has been shot at the 'ARTUS' studio. Here is a young Hungarian filmmaker who is different from the average Hungarian filmmaker in every way

“He makes plays, sci-fi and horror instead of art films...he hunts down Luke Skywalker as an actor, and he shoots in English for the international market. His first feature film, the 3D horror - Gingerclown, tuned with 80s stars and shot in the Funpark in "Városliget", has already been bought by a well-known American distributor.”

The cult director/writer/producer Alex Proyas (known for movies like The Crow, I, Robot, Gods of Egypt, Dark City) has presented his short film titled 'Dark Sister’ at the Actors Centre Australia in november, entirely shot with virtual backgrounds. Starring Lauren Grimson (The Possessed), the film showcases Alex's groundbreaking work with the creative team at the Heretic Foundation.

The filming has concluded for the Canadian production titled 'Hidden,' in which we collaborated with Daniel Matmor (known for Stephen King: The Mangler, FUBAR) in the historical city of Oardea (Nagyvárad). The shoot included unique locations such as the singular Jewish cemetery. Daniel is credited as the producer and writer for the documentary film.

Conducted by New York-based producer Vittoria de Bruin and under the direction of Glória Halász, a documentary film is currently underway, entering into the preliminary stages for its festival screenings. Balazs Hatvani has contributed his expertise to capture the additional cinematic inserts as cinematographer within the film. The short film 'Ten Out Of The Ten' directed by Imre Mázló won the 'Best Director Super Short Film' award at the London Director Awards and the 'Best Actor' award at the István Bujtor Film Festival. The film underwent post-production at Cinelabyrinth, where Krisztián Hatvani and Balazs Hatvani handled not only editing and lighting but also cinematography.

We were part of Krisztián Hatvani's project, who was the creator of the idea and cinematographer for the film titled 'NIGHTSHIFT,' featuring the wonderful Péter Molnár Kálloy and Elemér Szatmári in the lead roles. The post-production of the Christmas-themed short film took place at Cinelabyrinth.

The recording of the song 'Out Of Limbo' featuring the award winning singer-songwriter Grayson Hugh (best known for his hit songs "Talk It Over" - reached prominent position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United State - and "Bring It All Back.") and Hungarian actress / singer Dorina Csifó has been completed.

The song is on the First Run Ballot in the 62nd Grammy Awards in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

The production, shot in Budapest, features Grayson's musical composition created for the film 'Captain Flame.' The cast includes wonderful actors such as Borcsa Erdős, Péter Minárovits, Péter Petrik, Dorina Csifó, Zsolt Zágoni, Gábor Mengyi, Janos Joó, Kóbor Judit, and Géza Herpai.

We shot the plot episode of our series 'Two Minutes To Midnight' with the marvelous Jim Hanks and Paul Gregory. After Los Angeles and Ridgecrest, post-production took place in Budapest, with the cinematography handled by the visionary David Speck.

Cinelabyrinth produced the promotional film and visual elements for the highly successful ROCKTOPIA show, which premiered at the Broadway Theater in New York under the production of Bill Franzblau and Rob Evan. Part of the New York shoot took place at the legendary SIR Studio.

We are proud to have created the visual materials for the successful production 'This One For The Girls' in Dorothy Marcic's production. The audience can experience it at the St. Luke's Theater, a true Off-Broadway gem.

The documentary film "Rupa's Boutique," produced by Cinelabyrinth / Filmfabriq and Praaful Chaudhary, directed/produced by Glória Halász, won the Best Documentary award at the UNAFF - United Nations Association Film Festival. The film's associate producer/cinematographer Balazs Hatvani and director Glória Halász personally accepted the award at the Stanford University ceremony in Palo Alto, California.

We are proud of the brave acid attack survivors featured in the film and how their stories help others survive and continue to believe in their goals.
